Double Blind Review Process for Research Paper Evaluation-

The Double Blind Review process evaluates research articles while keeping both the authors and reviewers anonymous. The main goal of this system is to ensure fairness in evaluation, judging the article only on its academic quality and research contribution. 

According to the “Suggestive Parameters for Peer-Reviewed Journals” outlined in the UGC-CARE Public Notice, Higher Educational Institutions should have a clear and transparent peer review policy. The double blind method meets this requirement since reviewers are not swayed by the author’s name, affiliation, or professional status. 

In this process, the editorial office removes any identifying information about the author from the manuscript before sending it to independent reviewers. These reviewers assess the article’s originality, research methodology, data analysis, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with ethical standards, and they provide feedback along with their recommendations. 

Double blind review helps maintain the quality, credibility, and international standards of a journal. It ensures fair evaluation for authors, gives readers high-quality content, and boosts the academic reputation of the publication.From this year (2025), Samsaptak journal will follow the Double Blind Review process for evaluating research articles.
